Barbera d'Alba DOC 2018
The most traditional among the Piedmontese wines. Indigenous red wine, vinified to obtain fruity scents reminiscent of red fruits on the nose and ripe grapes on the palate. Suited to accompany the whole meal.

Grape variety: 100% Barbera
Vineyard: located in Monforte d ‘Alba in the Bricco San Pietro and San Giovanni subarea, with a South-West and West exposure
Training: Guyot counter-espalier training system
Harvesting period: second / third decade of October
In the Cellar
Vinification: traditional in stainless steel with emerged cap for 10 days with 3 daily pumping over at controlled temperature (c.a 25 C °)
Aging: malolactic fermentation in wood then steel and bottle
Alcohol content: 14%
Tasting Notes
Colour: Ruby red with hues of violet in the glass.
Nose: Fruity and winy to the nose, it expresses the full variety of tones from its vine, letting through momories of wild cherry followed by light hints of spice.
Palate: Fresh, it goes down easily, with god persistence.
Pairings: Excellent with first courses of earthy cuisine, it is perfect to be paired with agnolotti with ragù.
