It is an elegant white, of vibrant freshness and intensity, which is appreciated above all for its decisive and straightforward character. Deep and vertical in its unhesitating gait, it offers the palate aromas of exotic fruit, hints of aromatic herbs and clear mineral notes. It is part of the numerous Trebbiani family, which brings together grapes that are often very different from each other under the same denomination. The Spoleto variety is certainly one of the most interesting in terms of quality and in the Montefalco area it expresses itself on levels of true excellence, also demonstrating a remarkable propensity for aging.

  • Cantina Raìna was founded in 2002, by Francesco Mariani, vine grower in the region of Montefalco, Umbria. He makes wine from biodynamic grapes together with his friend and assistant Andrea Mattioli.

“Raina" was the nickname of the previous owner of the field where they planted the first of our Sagrantino vines.

This name was chosen to preserve the link between the land and its history.

  • The 10 hectares of vineyards, planted between 2002 and 2008, lie between 220 and 300 meters a.s.l. The soil is of medium consistency and rich in texture, with mainly southeasterly exposure.
