Le Campette IGT | Raìna

Le Campette IGT | Raìna

€19.00

Raina's Rosso "Le Campette" is an extremely balanced and satisfying everyday wine, a vibrant and unfiltered Umbrian expression. It has a rather intense ruby colour. Gourmand and clean nose with notes of wild berries, refreshing balsamic hints that refer to eucalyptus, touches of sweeter spices such as cinnamon. A simple and jovial but never static profile, which finds confirmation in a dynamic and fresh sip. The smooth tannins continually refine the sip, which fades on a rather long persistence. Unfiltered. Unclarified.

  • Cantina Raìna was founded in 2002, by Francesco Mariani, vine grower in the region of Montefalco, Umbria. He makes wine from biodynamic grapes together with his friend and assistant Andrea Mattioli.

“Raina" was the nickname of the previous owner of the field where they planted the first of our Sagrantino vines.

This name was chosen to preserve the link between the land and its history.

  • The 10 hectares of vineyards, planted between 2002 and 2008, lie between 220 and 300 meters a.s.l. The soil is of medium consistency and rich in texture, with mainly southeasterly exposure.
